Dance Teacher | Kay Wheatley
I started Egyptian dance in 1997 under the expert tutelage of Lorraine Theobold (www.multiculturaldance.co.uk ) who has continually encouraged and supported me throughout the many years I have been dancing and performing. It was Lorraine who gave me the confidence and opportunity to start my own dance class. I commenced teaching Egyptian dance in 2011.
Throughout 2014, I have attended Elis Pinheiro's Technical Development for Bellydancers' course
Over the years, I have attended many dance workshops and master classes, too numerous to list here, however those that I have found particularly inspirational are Zaza Hassan, Yousry Sharif, Jillina, Virginia, Aziza, Serena and Hossam Ramzy, Nawarra, Tito Seif, Khaled Mahmoud and Aida Nour.
I also attend the annual 'Shimmy in the City' dance event held in London
